The Shanghai Import Expo is holding on since November 5, 2019. The national exhibition has a total exhibition area of ??30,000 square meters. There are 64 countries (including China) and 3 international organizations participating in the exhibition. Among them, 15 host countries (in alphabetical order) are Cambodia, Czech Republic, France, Greece, India, Italy, Jamaica, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Peru, Russia, Thailand, Uzbekistan and Zambia.

According to the data of the General Administration of Customs, in the first three quarters of this year, in the context of a slight decline of 0.1% in China’s imports, China’s imports from the 63 foreign exhibiting countries’ national exhibitions have grown against the trend, showing the number of imported enterprises. Increased, online shopping, bonded, emerging trade, import growth, and rapid growth in consumer goods imports.

It is noteworthy that in the first three quarters, China imported 2.17 trillion yuan from 63 foreign participating countries in the form of general trade, an increase of 8.7% year-on-year, accounting for 70% of the total import value in the same period. Among them, the import of online shopping bonded trade mode, which belongs to the new format of cross-border e-commerce, was 8.24 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 40.3%, indicating that the enthusiasm and energy of ordinary Chinese consumers to participate in cross-border online shopping are constantly being released. In the first three quarters, China imported 1.45 trillion yuan from 15 host countries, a year-on-year increase of 9.5%, accounting for 46.8% of the total imports from 63 foreign participating countries.
